X Factor boss Simon Cowell is said to be pulling out all the stops to make sure the show beats its rival Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC is trying to secure the ratings with an "action-packed" two-hour show.
Simon has revealed that popstars Kylie Minogue, Ronan Keating and Will Young will help to pick the final 12 acts.
The BBC has said that 82-year-old crooner Andy Williams will also perform 'Moon River' on the dance show.
An X Factor insider told the Daily Star: "Are we worried? No way!
"Strictly claim they want to appeal to a younger audience, but will people aged 16 to 25 have a clue who Andy Williams is?
"Meanwhile, we've got Kylie, Ronan and Will. I think it's an easy choice for most people."
The X Factor is winning the ratings war with an extra two million viewers than Strictly last weekend.
It is has been confirmed that Robbie Williams with perform his new single "Bodies" on the show.
Last year's winner Alexandra Burke and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole are also expected to sing their new tracks during the later stages of the programme.
