Dancing on Ice champion Ray Quinn is to extend his run playing Danny in Grease until November.
The musical has just celebrated its second anniversary playing at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End.
It has been seen by nearly 750,000 theatre goers and is now the longest running show in the venue's history.
Producers have confirmed in a statement that Ray's last appearance in the show will be on November 28.
It has also been announced that the show's run is to be extended and tickets will be on sale until September 2010.
The role of Sandy is currently being played by Emma Stephens, who is Ray's real-life girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Sky1 has confirmed that Ray will work as a mentor on an upcoming series Grease: The School Musical, which will have a similar format to Hairspray: The School Musical.
The programme will follow ordinary secondary school pupils, who get to spend their summer holidays working on a West End production.
The show is scheduled to air in August and will be hosted by Blue's Duncan James.
