Coronation Street character Ramsey Clegg will soon leave Weatherfield - breaking Emily Bishop's heart in the process, says a report.
Viewers will see Clegg, played by veteran actor Andrew Sachs, leave the cobbled streets of Manchester to return to Australia later this year.
But before he departs for sunnier shores he will win over the heart of Emily Bishop, played by Eileen Derbyshire.
Ramsey is lodging with Emily while he is trying to reconcile with his estranged half-brother Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden).
Street legend Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) is the first to notice the signs that her best friend is falling for Ramsey when she comments on Emily's new hairdo.
Rita asks: "I take it the hair isn't for my benefit?"
Norris makes a shocking discovery when he comes home for lunch and discovers Emily and Ramsey cosying-up on the sofa watching a slideshow with the curtains closed.
He gasps: "What on earth is going on in here? Why have you got the curtains drawn in the middle of the day?"
