Hell's Kitchen contestants Anthea Turner and Grant Bovey have bought DJ Chris Evans's old mansion for the knockdown price of £5million, says a report.

A source told the News of the World that the couple managed to secure the property for £1million less than the asking price of £6million.

Anthea and Grant have already made almost £8.5million profit when they sold off their mansion in Surrey for £10.6million.

The couple decided to downsize to DJ Chris's four-bed estate but they will now have to get by without a polo field and heli pad.

The new mansion is part of the 172-acre Hascombe Court estate in Godalming. It sports four en-suite bathrooms, a home cinema, stables and a three-bedroom guests' cottage within the grounds.

A source said: "For them it's a come-down, but for most people it's still the stuff of dreams."

The couple were forced to sell their lavish mansion following the collapse of Grant's property empire, which was once valued at over £100million.
