Chris Tarrant's latest ITV gameshow has been axed.
'The Colour Of Money' was discontinued after seven episodes because it was not getting enough viewers.
A source said: "These days ITV needs much bigger ratings. And it wasn't the cheapest show to make either."
It was initially hoped the new programme - in which contestants attempted to win tens of thousands of pounds by drawing money from 'cash points' - would prove as popular as Chris' other ITV gameshow 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'
Although channel chiefs wanted the series to get around five million viewers per episode, it initially only managed four million.
By the time the last edition of the show - which Chris presented alongside Sky Sports News presenter Millie Clode - aired, only 2.7 million viewers tuned in.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed: "There are no current plans for it to return."
The show is the latest the station has decided to shelve, with Sunday teatime favourites 'Heartbeat' and 'The Royal' also being axed.
