Dannii Minogue will be returning to The X Factor after successfully negotiating a £1 million contract with Simon Cowell, says a report.
An insider told The Star that Dannii had managed to secure a pay rise of almost £250,000 in her new contact with the hit show and she will now be on the same salary as her rival judge Cheryl Cole.
The source said: "She was finally persuaded that the show wanted her.
"It was never about the money. Dannii was very, very unhappy with the way things went last year.
"She felt she'd been hung out to dry.
"She hated all the nonsense about her so-called feud with Cheryl and hated being portrayed as a miserable party-pooper."
The source added that Dannii was "looking forward" to working on the new series which will return to our TV screens in August.
A recent report in the Sunday Mirror claimed that Dannii had insisted on some clauses in the contract to ensure that she receives "fairer treatment" on this year's show.
An insider said: "Simon's given Dannii his word that he won't fuel infighting rumours between her and Cheryl Cole and has said he won't take any nonsense from Louis Walsh if he starts his usual snidey remarks backstage."
