Olly Murs is set to land a record deal with Simon Cowell - despite not winning 'The X Factor'.
The 25-year-old singer impressed the show boss- who was also his mentor on the TV talent show - so much, he is keen to give him a recording contract even though Geordie singer Joe McElderry won the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Olly really impressed Simon because he is an all-round entertainer. Simon thinks he's just like Robbie Williams. Women love him."
The cheeky Essex boy was joined on stage on Saturday night (12.12.09) by 'Angels' hitmaker Robbie.
Simon admitted he was "blown away" by their performance and now hopes Olly can replicate the former Take That star's success.
The label head and reality TV talent show boss also plans to help the singer release his first single in the spring, before possibly offering him an album deal.
However, it is thought Olly will have to wait to release his debut LP until the end of 2010, to make way for 'X Factor' winner Joe's album, which is initially scheduled for autumn - to coincide with next year's series of the show.
