Stacey Solomon snubbed by Madonna for X Factor duet?

Madonna turned down the possibility of performing a duet with X Factor star Stacey Solomon on Saturday night, it’s been reported - potentially damaging Stacey’s chances of winning the show.

The pop superstar had apparently been in talks to team up with Dannii Minogue's act for the final, according to The Sun.

However, her team are reported to have rejected the offer because Madge doesn’t have new material or a tour to promote - even though she has new greatest hits album Celebration out at the moment.

A source said: "We were told she wasn't in promotion so it wasn't going to happen.

“It's a shame as she'd have been brilliant and given the show a real lift, especially with Stacey."

Saturday's episode saw Stacey perform with Michael Bublé - with some fans now accusing show bosses of a stitch-up, as they feel Olly Murs and Joe McElderry had bigger star names to duet with, the pair singing with Robbie Williams and George Michael respectively.

Fan Brumgal apparently wrote online: "Stacey was stitched up. Her chances of winning were ruined by Cowell giving her Bublé to sing with. Do not buy the X Factor single."

Stacey crashed out in third place on Saturday, leaving Olly and Joe to battle it out in last night's final showdown.
