The contestants at this weekend’s X Factor semi-finals are set to perform Michael Jackson numbers as a tribute to the star, according to reports, with sister Janet also appearing on the show this weekend.
An insider said: “The Michael Jackson numbers will be huge crowd pleasers – and each contestant will want to do Janet and the Jackson family proud.”
As well as the Jacko number, semi-finalists will also get to sing a song of their own choice.
It had previously been rumoured that Simon Cowell wanted Jacko to perform on the show while he was in the UK for his residency at the O2.
However, the King of Pop’s death in June put paid to those plans, however sister Janet will be appearing on the show on Sunday.
The Make Me star is to mark her only UK television performance of this year with the appearance, following the release of new hits album The Best.
Meanwhile the always entertaining Lady GaGa will sing new single Bad Romance for the first time on UK TV, making for a star-studded X Factor which will determine who makes the final.
