Eliminated X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels has praised mentor Cheryl Cole, saying she showed fairness between him and Joe McElderry.
The Girls Aloud singer has been grooming both for stardom, but there were fears that she was concentrating on favourite Joe at the expense of Lloyd.
The singer finally crashed out of The X Factor on Sunday after being in the bottom two before.
This time it was only the public vote that mattered, meaning that there was no sing-off to save Lloyd’s skin. Could he have been saved with some more TLC courtesy of Cheryl?
Not so, according to Lloyd, as both he and Joe apparently received fair and equal treatment.
He explained: "I've been asked a couple of times about this now, but literally she was fair on both sides.
"We'd spend a lot of time in her dressing room just talking and going over songs. She worked really really hard with me. And Joe is an amazing guy, he's got such an awesome voice.”
He then went on to praise his fellow singer some more: "Joe is vocally amazing, he's pitch perfect all the time and I think he deserves to win to be honest. I want Team Cheryl to do well as well so I hope he does win!"
Lloyd has also revealed that Simon Cowell said "he was really proud to have someone like me on the show and that I'd done really well for myself, and I've got to big myself up a bit more".
