Former X Factor runner-up, Rhydian Roberts, has slammed Danyl Johnson as being a “diva” – and has said he hopes he doesn’t win.
The white-haired singer, who came second to Scots contestant Leon Jackson in 2007’s series of the show, said that Danyl constantly either feels sorry for himself, or is arroagant.
He also said Danyl is “not a nice guy” despite being able to sing “fairly well” – ouch, put your claws away Rhydian!
Speaking on The Andy Goulding Breakfast Show on Coventry's Radio Mercia, he said: Johnson was acting like "a diva" on the reality talent show.
Rhydian said: "I really hope that Danyl doesn't win. One minute he's feeling sorry for himself, the next he's too arrogant.
"He sings flat - yeah he's got a good belt note, the other day he used in-ear monitoring as well. He's obviously gone, 'I must have in-ears, I can't do this!' and then it couldn't work."
Rhydian, who was portrayed as the ‘baddie’ of 2007’s X Factor, who was regularly criticised for his ‘arrogant’ behaviour, added: "When I was on the show you were not allowed to use in-ear monitoring. It just freaks me out seeing this guy, who - if he's already a diva - woe betide going forward, because it only gets more difficult.
"I can see he can sing fairly well, but he's not a nice guy... That's the truth, he sings flat!"
The classical singer added that he thinks Olly or Stacey will win this year’s series, and that Joe Will come second.
