This year’s X Factor has been rife with rumours of romance in the house, but former contestant Jamie Archer acted all coy when asked if there was any truth to them.
The 34-year-old Londoner, who left the show after going up against Lloyd Daniels in the sing-off, denied that any of the contestants are pairing up.
He said: “I know the public are dying for there to be some romance between Stacey and Olly, but I’ve heard it form the horse’s mouth that there is absolutely nothing going on.”
Rumours have also been circulating about Jamie and fellow contestant Coco Lloyd getting together, as well as Scots singer Rikki Loney and Lucie Jones.
And although trying to remain tight-lipped about the gossip, Jamie hinted that there might just be some truth to the tales about his love life.
He told stv.tv: “I don’t know about Rikki and Lucie, I’m afraid I know nothing aobut that, but In terms of me and Coco, we’re keeping everything really low key at the moment, because the problem is the press have the tendency to leap on you.
Jamie continued: “And we’re not looking for any attention or anything like that, we’re just hanging out having fun at the moment and just getting on with it quietly somewhere! And (we’ll) just see what happens.”
X Factor continues this weekend with an Elton John and Take That theme. The final five contestants will be performing two songs each this week, as the competition draws to a close, and Rihanna and Alicia Keys will both be taking to the stage to perform their latest singles. The show is on STV at 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
