John and Edward said they will never have a number one record.
The evicted 'X Factor' twins claimed they were spurred by criticism of their notoriously off-key singing on the show and said they may embark on a classical career, shirking the pop charts.
John said: "We won't be top of the charts. A lot of bands aren't great singers. We love the fact people hated us enough to actually, you know - hate us.
"We put on a performance, that's what we do."
"But we're very classical in our approach. We complement each other. We can sing classical music as a bass and tenor. We play guitar, we play piano and violin."
The duo also claimed they have an edge with their songwriting skills and are hoping to promote their own work.
John added: "We write songs that aren't boring about missing girls and boring stuff like that. It's about being different and finding your own originality."
The identical 18-year-old duo also vowed not to let the trappings of their newfound celebrity get the better of them.
John continued: "We stay at home with our family and friends, we don't really go to clubs. We have never drank or smoked. Back home we used to run 45 miles a week. The most extreme drink we have had is Coca-Cola, and that isn't going to change now."
Although the pair said they are not looking for girlfriends at the moment - as they feel they are too young - they are setting their sights high for the future.
John added: "In future, in terms of the girls we like, we love Cameron Diaz, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. We would go for a girl who is humble and sensitive."
