X Factor hopeful Danyl Johnson has won the battle with Simon Cowell over his choice of song for this week's live X Factor performance, according to a report.
Sources told a tabloid newspaper that Simon Cowell "caved in" after Danyl stormed off in a row over the choice of the George Michael song `Praying for Time'.
It is believed that the mentor held crisis talks with Johnson and that the singer will now perform the classic hit `Careless Whisper'.
Cowell told the Daily Mirror that Danyl's tantrum had simply been a result of the pressure of performing in the finals.
Simon said: "The frustration got to him and he boiled over but when we talked it through he was as good as gold.
"It was always going to be one of those two songs and it turns out Danyl had set his heart on the other one.
"Danyl is now going to sing Careless Whisper on Saturday and it is an incredible version. We love it."
