X Factor creative director Brian Friedman has suggested that John and Edward may be getting competitive with each other. He claimed that during rehearsals neither of the boys wants to be the "weak link".
At the 'Me And Orson Welles' premier in London he told PA: "Normally it's John who's the focused one in rehearsals but today, I saw Edward actually pulling up and challenging him, so I think there may be a little bit of rivalry building up between the two of them, not wanting to be the weak one."
He added that the siblings' performance this weekend "would not disappoint". It is rumoured that the boys will be performing 'Wham! Rap'.
Brian said: "They're coping with the pressure. I think this is a really good week.
"The twins are dancing - they always do a big dance number with some breakdancers, a little bit of rapping. We're putting it all in."
He added: "Last week, we held them down a little. I don't think it's as visual as some of their other performances but people loved it, so I want to put more in, more high energy."
The chorographer added that he would relish the opportunity of having 'Me and Orson Welles' star Zac Efron perform on The X Factor with the twins.
He said: "I would love to see Zac Efron with the twins, how about that?"
"If they make it to the final, Zac - this is your invitation. Come down and do a song with the twins!"
