X Factor boss Simon Cowell is worried that viewers will turn on his acts as revenge for his decision to go to deadlock. His move led to John and Edward being saved for another week and the elimination of Lucie Jones from the contest.
The music mogul thinks that fans and his fellow judges will try to axe Danyl Johnson or Jamie Archer over the next couple of weeks, according to a report.
Simon believes that Louis Walsh would enjoy the chance to get rid of one of Cowell's over-25s and Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole have no reason to help him save his acts.
Cowell is the only judge who has all three acts left in the competition. On Saturday Cowell took the opportunity to defend his decision to allow the public to decide which of the two in last week's sing-off were eliminated.
Internet forums have hit back at the judge and are urging people to vote for Jedward and force Simon's acts into the bottom two.
One message on a Facebook Vote Jedward site said: "I urge all X Factor fans to vote Jedward - on this Sunday and the next. We need to make Cowell pay for what he's done. Danyl and Jamie Archer need to go."
A source told The People: "Simon is now really worried that John and Edward will beat one of his acts."
During the twins' performance last night one of the Xtra Factor guests, Calvin Harris, jumped on stage holding a pineapple on his head.
An angry insider said: "It has caused a whole lot of chaos. We trust our guests to behave with respect and he didn't."
