X Factor wannabe Despina Pilavakis has announced that her "best is yet to come". The young singer won a place in the next round of the contest despite suffering from nerves at the Manchester auditions.
She told the X Factor's official website: "I've sung in front of a live audience before but this was completely different.
"It was a bit scary, but I tried to not think about it."
She added: "It went amazing. It went better than expected actually.
"I was really nervous so I didn't think it went that well, but the judges seemed to like it.
"When Louis said that it was the best performance of the day, it really shocked me, because I felt like I did well but I just felt I could do so much more - my nerves held me back."
Despina added: "I don't know what the X Factor is.
"I just think it's something different that makes the crowd go wild...The dream is to be a successful artist and to be known worldwide."
