DanniI Minogue has added to the gossip around her alleged departure from The X Factor, according to a report in the Star.
In a move which the paper claims has cast doubt on whether she will return to the UK for the 2009 series, the 37-year-old has reportedly announced that she is to go to Hollywood to further her acting career.
Dannii said: "I am like a plate spinner. If I haven't done something for a while, I want to do it again.
"When Australia's Got Talent is over, I am going to pop back to America and look into work there.
"I'll be looking at hosting, judging and acting.
"You've got to keep on the ball and now is the first time I've had the confidence to go to America and try it out."
A recent report in a tabloid newspaper also claimed that Dannii would not be resuming her role on the X Factor judging panel, suggesting Charlotte Church or Lily Allen as possible replacements.
These reports have been dismissed by Simon Cowell's PR spokesman, Max Clifford and by Sinitta.
Mr Clifford told ITN: "These kinds of things are put about by unscrupulous journalists and media people... they make up all kinds of stories all the time."
Sinitta confirmed that both she and Simon Cowell were unaware of any decision by Dannii to leave The X Factor.
She said: "I honestly don't know. Nothing has been said to us officially.
"If Dannii is not going to be there... then who will be doing it?"
