JLS have said that their future is looking "very, very good", since they signed a major recording contract with Epic Records.

"We've got a fantastic deal. We're just over the moon," band member Ortise Williams told the BBC.

"We've had a few meetings with them and the future's looking very, very good for JLS."

Bandmate Marvin Humes added: "We want a career in music and we want our songs to be big tracks, so expect big things from JLS this year."

The group also said that they had hardly been in contact with Simon Cowell since the final of The X Factor but were aware that he was "supportive" of their future career.

JLS will be supporting new label-mate Lemar on his tour which begins on March 27.

Aston recently said of Lemar: "We've loved his music for years so it will be brilliant to get to tour the UK with him, and we're really looking forward to seeing all of our fans at the live shows.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Diana Vickers has signed a record deal with RCA. Eoghan Quigg reportedly signed with the Sony owned label earlier this month.
