Simon Cowell has joined the growing list of celebrities who have "come out" an admitted that he is grey!
The 49-year-old music mogul was recently snapped by paparazzi looking decidedly grey-haired as he attended the latest Britain's Got Talent audition in Glasgow.
Some showbiz insiders claimed that the stress of sacking Kelly Brook, at a cost of more than £100,000, is to blame, says a report in the Star.
An insider joked: "He must have felt like tearing his hair out as he realised his blunder - I guess going grey is getting off lightly."
However, Cowell had a simple answer for his sudden silver tinge.
He said: "I'm sorry, I just didn't have the time to dye it before the performance."
Simon's spokesman, publicist Max Clifford, said: "I've always told him grey hair makes a man look more distinguished.
"Maybe he has finally taken my advice."
Recent celebs to "come out as grey" include George Clooney, 47, Richard Gere, 59 and Sir Tom Jones, 68.
