Alexandra Burke has flown off with her best friend, fellow X Factor contestant, Ruth Lorenzo for a luxurious holiday in the sun.
The girls were snapped holding hands and laughing by the paparazzi at Heathrow Airport as they waited to board a flight to Mauritius.
Ruth and Alex formed a strong bond during their time together in the shared X Factor house in London. The pair got on so well that they decided to become flat mates after the end of the series.
Alexandra was recently promised an all expenses paid holiday to "anywhere in the world" by Simon Cowell as a reward for the success of her debut single "Hallelujah".
The pair were snapped in casual dress for the trip to the airport. Alex wore a T-shirt and black jeans, with a new designer bag slung over her arm, while Ruth donned a low-cut red top, black leather jacket and jeans, and a pair of open toe high heels.
The X Factor winner was in the press earlier this week when she criticised Mariah Carey, saying that she was "stiff" and "reserved".
Alexandra said that Mariah was a disappointment when she came to mentor contestants on the show.
She told the Metro: "I was a bit upset about Mariah, as I expected her to be full of energy and she wasn't. She was very reserved and stiff posed."
