Beyonce Knowles is to set aside her feud with Simon Cowell and perform on the X Factor final.
Television executives are hopeful that the sexy singer will help bring the highest viewing figures for the series.
Cowell has been desperate to have Beyonce on the X Factor for years, despite once astonishingly claiming she was "not sexy" and "not a great singer".
Matthew Knowles, Beyonce's father, who is also her manager, defended the singer, saying: "Simon wouldn't know a hit song, image or talent if it hit him in the face."
An insider told the Sun: "Beyonce and Cowell can put their differences from years ago to one side. He is way past it.
"Beyonce singing live is something to behold and would just be brilliant."
Show executives are still triumphant after getting record viewing figures ratings last week when 13 million viewers saw Britney Spears sing "Womaniser" from her new album "Circus".
X Factor bosses are certain that Beyonce performing live on the December 13 final would draw an even bigger audience.
