T in the Park has this morning announced nine of the acts performing at this summer’s festival, including Florence and The Machine, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines.
The full T in the Park line-up is set to be released this Thursday at 11am, but organisers used the festival’s Twitter account to release the names of a select nine artists this morning.
They were (in order of posting):
- Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
- Florence and the Machine
- The Maccabees
- The Horrors
- Miles Kane
- The Vaccines
- Maverick Sabre
- Frank Turner
- Two Door Cinema Club
This summer’s T in the Park will take place across the weekend of Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July 2012 at its usual home at Balado near Perth.
The Stone Roses have previously been confirmed as one of this year’s headliners, which sparked a clamour for tickets among fans of the seminal Manchester indie outfit.
Many of those same fans will be pleased to see former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher's latest band performing at T, while Florence and the Machine is also likely to prove a massive draw at the festival. (See our T in the Park gallery of Florence from 2010.)
December saw half of the total allocation of tickets go on sale for T in the Park as “Christmas early-bird tickets” – selling out within the space of a single morning.
