Kasabian score: Kasabian sacrifice World Cup to round off T in the Park
T in the Park fans began to get anxious when Kasabian failed to appear on time for their headline slot at T in the Park 2010.
However all was resolved when the band appeared fifteen minutes later than scheduled to kick of the rousing finale to the spectacular festival weekend.
Kasabian are avid football fans and although Serge’s beloved Italy were kicked out in the early stages, the band were determined to catch the final in their dressing room at T.
When Spain v Holland went into extra time, fans thought the boys may be staying glued to the TV to catch the nail-biting final but luckily it looks like the plug was pulled and Serge, Tom and the lads took their rightful place on the headline slot – much to the delight of the thousands of hyped up revellers.
Yesterday Eminem was 40 minutes late for his T in the Park set and last year, fans had a long wait to see if eagerly anticipated final act Blur were going to make it on stage after Graham Coxon took ill.
But they all came good in the end, just like tonight and once again T in the Park comes to a dramatic, spectacular close – fitting for the biggest and best festival in Scotland, if not the world.
