STV were extremely lucky to catch up with Robbie Furze from The Big Pink backstage on a manic dash to sound check for their Main Stage opening.
2010 has been a fantastic year for The Big Pink, touring across the world and gaining a reputation worthy of their place on legendary label 4AD.
Robbie spoke of how privileged the band feel at being part of the famed British independent label, who first signed Pixies.
The voice of The Big Pink let us know what he’s listening to and taking inspiration from at the moment, suggesting their next album is set to have a bigger, dancier vibe.
After extensive touring the guys have started getting back into the studio and seem excited to begin work on their second album, even though they only released their debut in September last year.
Given their massive sound onstage today and fervour for their work, here at STV we very much look forward to what is yet to come.
