Whilst many bands that have been on the music scene for the same length of time as Ash, become slightly bored of chatting about their careers to press (not naming any names), Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray were more than happy to discuss their current ventures – and no wonder.

The lads are involved in a ground breaking project that come September, will have seen them release 26 singles in the space of 1 year - a feat many bands will fail to reach in a lifetime.

The A-Z Series comprises of Ash releasing a single every 2 weeks and  single ‘T’ - Instinct, nicely coincides with the band’s performance at T in the Park.

Along with the gruelling single release, Ash are also touring festivals across the globe including Fuji Rock on July 30, then Splendour in the Grass in Australia the next day. Are they not exhausted?

Tim and co. are clearly running on adrenaline fuelled by their current exciting project but that doesn’t mean they will be ditching their backlog of hits for their festival appearances.

By the time Ash play Reading Festival at the end of August, they will be close to releasing letter X in the series and will surely be taking a well earned break?

Maybe not. The band told stv.tv presenter Laura Boyd they are already working on their next groundbreaking venture. Almost twenty years in the music industry and leading the way for the future of making music? Simply innovative.
