You may not have heard of Matthew P yet, but there's every chance you will soon.
The Southwold coast-based singer-songwriter is playing at most of the major festivals this year, including V Festival and Bestival - though first up was his debut slot at T in the Park.
He was playing at the T-Break tent, and despite the dreary start to Friday's festivities seemed in cheery form as he told us about his summery acoustic pop, which seems ready-made to catch the ear of many more listeners soon.
Currently unsigned, Matthew was performing alone with his acoustic, which he told us gives him more of a chance to connect with the audience.
The country boy revealed he's not a massive fan of festivals but that his favourite memory is seeing Reef at Glastonbury ten years ago.
Matthew was willing to give us his top tip for the perfect festival though - "sunshine." Playing in a tent, he didn't have to worry but the rain seemed to dry up at the charming, talented singer's request.
He released well received EP Swimming in January this year, and his new single Gilly is released on July 26. Now that T in the Park has had a chance to check him out, perhaps it's time that you should too!
