stv.tv chatted to Harry McVeigh, lead singer of White Lies, ahead of the bands slot on the NME stage at T in the Park.
TITP has a special place in White Lies heart as it was the first ever festival the band played.
Harry told us: “we’re looking forward to getting out there with tonight with a few people knowing our songs.”
The band have had an amazing year with the release of album To Lose My Life..., which saw them become the first British act in 2009 to achieve a number one album.
But fans who are eager for the next White Lies record will have to wait till 2010.
Harry confirmed that there is a lot more life in the current album and that the band finds it difficult to write when they are on the road.
Once they come off tour in December they will be straight back into the studio, promising their new material will “be worth the wait.”
