Snow Patrol played on the main stage at T in the Park tonight, just before Blur came on... eventually!
Snow Patrol's set was put back to eight o'clock due to Graham Coxon's illness and it was touch and go whether Blur would make it at all, but Gary Lightbody and co. did well to keep the crowd going and fans adored their singalong anthems like Run and Chasing Cars.
It's these anthems that make Snow Patrol festival favourites.
stv.tv reporter Ellie Caddell caught up with Gary Lightbody just before he was due to go on stage, to find out what it's like for the Northern-Irish band to play to the Scottish crowd and to get the lowdown on band rivalry.
Gary said: "T in the Park is like coming home."
He added: "We're treated as if it's a home crowd when we're in Scotland."
Gary explained that when Snow Patrol play live, 3 of the band members are actually Scottish and of course the band started off when the boys were at the University of Dundee, so their Scottish connections are strong.
Having played T in the Park six times, Snow Patrol are often quoted as saying they have played T in the Park more times than any other band. However, Biffy Clyro have also played many times and Ellie wondered whether there was any rivalry between the bands?
Gary assured her: "There's no rivalry between us and Biffy" adding "the new music they are making is going to blow everyone away."
So are Snow Patrol one of the greatest live bands in the country? T in the Park fans certainly think so.
Gary said: "We've been together for 15 years, playing live for 13. If we're not good by now we should have packed it up a long time ago."
