Nicole Scherzinger says her former 'X Factor' contestants are like ''best friends''.
The 34-year-old singer has revealed her final three boys from last year - Jahmene Douglas, Rylan Clark and winner James Arthur - are still very close after having formed a bond and while she still helps them out in times of need, Nicole knows they are responsible enough to not worry about.
She said: ''They have genuinely amazing hearts and are like best friends - which says a lot as they're totally different. They text me so if they need me I'm there.
''They're young men now. They're grown up. I learned a lot from them and they learned a lot from me. They handled themselves very well.
''I've always tried to keep them level-headed and told them to stick to what's important. I tell them, 'Remember what you're here for and your purpose with your music.' ''
After spending so much time in the UK since landing a spot as judge on the ITV singing competition, Nicole looks at the country as her ''home away from home''.
She added to Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''London is my second home. It's my home away from home. I love the people, I love my work here, I love the architecture.
''But the weather? That's the only thing I dislike. It's mucky. It's dreary. I understand the rain and snow, but that grey mush in the sky? It's like, 'What's that? The sky's depressed right now.' ''
