Bryan Singer is excited to see 'Man of Steel'.
The 'Jack the Giant Slayer' director - who helmed 2006's 'Superman Returns' starring Brandon Routh in the lead role as Superman and his alter-ego Clark Kent - has revealed that he is curious to see Zack Snyder's rebooted version of the superhero movie and is a fan of the filmmaker.
He told Moviefone: ''Oh, [I'm] very excited to see it. I love the trailer, and I think Zack Snyder is incredibly talented.
''It would have been strange for me if this was a few years ago; it would have been a little weird. But now there's so much distance from that world that I'm actually pumped to see it, genuinely. So I'm just looking forward to it.''
Although 'Superman Returns' - which was a loose sequel to the original Christopher Reeves films - was moderately successful, film studio Warner Bros. opted not to move forward with a sequel, instead enlisting Zack and 'The Dark Knight' director Christopher Nolan to reboot the franchise.
Henry Cavill stars as the superhero from Krypton in the new movie, while Academy Award-winning actress Amy Adams will play his love interest Lois Lane.
Bryan, meanwhile, is also entrenched in the superhero genre as he is set to begin filming 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' in April.
The director - who helmed the first two 'X-Men' films in 2000 and 2003, respectively - will return to the franchise after 10 years for the latest film which will unite the cast of the original trilogy, including Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, and the cast of 2011's 'X-Men: First Class', which starred James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence.
