Amy Adams found it easy to play a cult member in 'The Master' because she was exhausted from looking after her daughter.
The 38-year-old actress - who has two-year-old daughter Aviana - plays the wife of Philip Seymour Hoffman's cult leader in the new movie but admitted juggling her career and motherhood left her so tired she could barely focus on set.
She said: ''I'd have to relieve the nanny after I got two hours of sleep, then go to work. There were moments when I was like 'This is the perfect movie to make on two hours of sleep.' ''
Although the movie is based on a serious subject, Amy admitted she and her co-stars Philip and Joaquin Phoenix had fun on set.
She explained: ''Philip and Joaquin were a hoot. Although it's a serious subject, the experience was more fun than I expected.''
However, it wasn't all fun, Amy admitted shooting a scene where she had to strip naked along with dozens of other women was strange.
She added to Us Weekly magazine: ''It was one of the weirdest nights of my life. To see naked women of all ages and body types jumping around and dancing was surreal.''
