Peter Andre shrugs off age gap with new love Emily as "irrelevant"

Lovable lad Peter Andre has been facing criticism this week over the 16 year age gap between himself and new love Emily. Pete who started dating 22 year old medical student Emily at the beginning of the month was forced to defend his relationship that has had him deemed a ‘cradle snatcher’.

Luckily Pete had no difficulty dismissing comments made, insisting the age gap is completely ‘irrelevant’ Speaking to new! magazine Pete said: “A lot has been made of the age gap between us but she turns 23 this week and we don’t event think about the age difference."

The loved-up pair have been enjoy romantic date nights in the city and Pete is pulling out all the stops to impress his young beauty. Spotted heading to the theatre to see Ghost: The Musical Pete looked relaxed and happy with his new leading lady.

Emily’s 23rd birthday is fast approaching and Pete is keen to spoil her. This may be difficult though as Emily, who will soon qualify as a doctor, often works long shifts.

Looking effortlessly glamorous in front of the cameras Emily seems unfazed by the attention Pete gets wherever he goes. Could Emily be the woman Pete’s been looking for?

Pete has had a tough year coping with his brother’s recent cancer diagnosis and the ongoing dramas with ex-wife Katie Price, the mother of his two young children Princess Tiaamii and Junior.

Pete and Emily have been enjoying chilled out dates including a trip to the science mseum, as well as fun nights out on the town. It seems to be just the ticket for Pete who recently commented after one particulary romantic date: "It was one of the best nights I've had in a long time."

Pete has been busy filming his new show Bad Boyfriend Club due to hit our TV screens later this year, so it is good to see he is still leaving time for some fun.

The couple are taking their relationship slowly but by the looks of that cheeky grin things could be looking up for Mr Andre!
