When pop twins Jedward landed at Glasgow International Airport, even they were shocked by the wild reception they received from Scottish fans. Screaming girls mobbed the X Factor stars as they headed towards their car, ahead of yesterday’s performance at The Glasgow Show.
Panicked by the hordes of admirers, the boys jumped into a passing taxi, leaving both their car and poor mum behind. Mamma Jedward, who is no doubt used to the lads' crazy stunts, was later rescued from the crowds and taken to meet her beloved boys at Glasgow Green.
The troublesome twosome were delighted to return to Glasgow. It was in this very city that Jedward introduced themselves and their signature blond quiffs to the pop world, at the X Factor auditions.
Now, nearly three years on, the boys have released three albums and eight singles and continued to win the hearts of the nation under the watchful eye of manager and X Factor judge Louis Walsh.
Jedward thrilled fans along side a host of other acts, including Marcus Collins and the newly reformed S Club, at this year’s The Glasgow Show. Describing their joy ahead of returning to Glasgow they gushed: “It's going to be awesome, and we can't wait to be back here.” Totes amaze!
Jedward continue to prove their critics wrong as one of the most successful X Factor acts to date. It is fair to say darling John and Edward will not be going anywhere soon, unless of course those screaming girls become too much. It's a tough life, eh boys?
