Angelina Jolie dazzles audiences with massive diamond engagement ring

Angelina Jolie has finally unveiled the massive diamond sparkler Brad Pitt gave her as an engagement ring, when he asked the Salt star to become his wife.

Looking relaxed and happy at a press conference at the Sarajevo Film Festival, Ange rested her head on her raised arm, giving journalists a full view of the striking diamond ring.

Glittering in the light, the ring boasts a large rectangular-cut diamond nestled into what looks like a thick yellow and white gold band, which is set with diamond shoulders.

The ring perfectly fits in with Angelina’s elegant, glamorous sense of style; not surprising since Brad, Angelina’s partner of seven years, is said to have put a great deal of thought into sourcing exactly the right kind of engagement ring for his bride-to-be.

Brad is said to have first of all worked out exactly what kind of design he wanted for the ring, before commissioning a jeweller to source the finest quality of diamond to be cut into the perfect shape for his partner’s hand.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Brad worked with jeweller Procop to realise his vision.

A rep for the firm said: "I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.

"Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realised over a yearlong collaboration."

They added: "He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand.

It seems Angelina really has got it all – a caring, handsome fiancé, a glittering movie career and six gorgeous kids. Jealous? Us? Not much…

The couple are expected to marry later on this year, possibly this summer, with various locations touted as possible settings for their nuptials, including New Orleans or the south of France, where they have homes. Brangelina were said to be particularly keen on New Orleans after falling in love with the Louisiana city after visiting in the aftermath of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina devastation.

The pair are also very keen on raising money for Brad’s Make It Right foundation – with much of the cash from the charity helping to rebuild the area after the horror hurricane – and are aware that having their wedding in New Orleans would help inject a lot of money into the area.

London is also being tipped as a possible location; Brad and Ange are said to have fallen in love with the UK during their time here while Angelina works on Disney’s Maleficent movie.

Apparently they've already made arrangements for their big day, including booking a florist and caterer. We simply cannot wait to see snaps from the big Brangelina wedding!
