Murray-mania went into overdrive at the weekend, as Scottish tennis star Andy Murray made the final at Wimbledon, taking on Roger Federer.

Despite putting up a brave fight, Andy ultimately lost out on the top spot and as his tears flowed, his girlfriend Kim Sears also wept from the stand, sharing the pain of her beloved sportsman (we were crying too if we’re honest).

It was a highly emotional moment which clearly showed the incredible bond the young couple have, but, for now, they are in no rush to take their relationship to the next stage – Judy won’t need to buy a hat anytime soon.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Andy joked: “I haven’t proposed yet – no matter how much she is trying to push me. I haven’t fallen for it yet.”

Despite being together for seven years, it seems Andy and Kim are quite content as they are.

The couple live together in a £5 million mansion in Surrey but while Andy continues to push his game to the limit, they often spend long periods apart.

This type of relationship wouldn’t suit everyone but Kim is the perfect companion for Andy as she knows exactly what it means to be involved in the tennis world as her father, Nigel Sears, is a famous coach.

25-year-old Andy said: “She understands the game and that there’s a lot of travelling.

“We can spend six or seven weeks apart from each other sometimes but she’s been through that with her father, so that’s useful.”

And while Andy’s away, it gives Kim time to concentrate on her hobbies as she is an aspiring artist and actress.

She is also fast becoming the nation’s sweetheart, after turning up to support Andy at Wimbledon in an array of stunning outfits, complemented by enviable bouncy locks.

Her chic style and glossy hair quickly saw her compared to the Duchess of Cambridge, with many claiming she outshone Kate Middleton when she and younger sister Pippa came to cheer Andy on in the final.

Kim Sears is certainly the styles queen of the courts and it seems Andy is delighted to have such a beautiful girl by his side. Now all you need to do is put a ring on it, eh Andy?
