One Direction star Niall Horan had 'sick' week in Marbella

No carbs before Marbs: but Niall loved soaking up the sun with his friends

The One Direction lads have been enjoying some well earned time off after their mammoth headline tour of the US.

And while Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne used the opportunity to catch up with their girlfriends, and Harry Styles partied with Made in Chelsea star Caggie Dumlop, Niall Horan jetted off to sunnier climes of Marbella to soak up the sun with his best buds. Let’s hope he slapped on the factor 50 to protect that pale Irish skin.

The handsome singer was spotted enjoying cocktails and causing a splash with a host of glamorous girls as he partied in the sunshine resort of Marbs – a favourite with the TOWIE cast.

Although reports that he has been getting particularly close to a glamorous brunette were quickly quashed, Niall did appear to have a ball, Tweeting: “What a sick week in Marbella with the lads! Good to see my friends! We had a right laugh!”

Louis also treated himself to a holiday, taking girlfriend Eleanor Calder to the romantic city of Paris, but his PR team have denied reports the pair are engaged. Aw – we would love a 1D wedding!

Now the boys are back in town and are getting stuck into rehearsals for their next assault on the charts.

Tanned and refreshed, having had new haircuts, Niall Tweeted: “Back to work for 1D,early start it was ! Photoshoot!”

Louis was in a reflective mood as he returned to work as a member of the biggest boyband in the world.

He told fans: “Two years ago today @SimonCowell @NicoleScherzy and Louis Walsh said yes at my audition. Seems like a lifetime away! Been a lot of fun!!”
