Scottish jewellery brand Rox is set to dazzle Edinburgh when it opens a brand new £1 million boutique later this year, bringing 12 new jobs to the city.
The company, which was founded in 2002, already has four stores across Glasgow and Aberdeen and its new branch is set to become one of its most eye-catching, situated in the newly redeveloped Assembly Rooms Edinburgh on George Street.
Rox’s latest branch will follow in the footsteps of its flagship Argyll Arcade store which boasts an exclusive Moet-sponsored champagne bar in its Thrill Room, regularly used as the setting for celebrity-packed parties and prestigious events, with past guests including chart-topping singer Emeli Sande.
Rox Edinburgh will also have its own 1,500sq ft Thrill Room, a private shopping lounge and champagne bar which will be invitation-only, doubling up as a private consultation space, design studio and event space.
Award-winning interior designer Graven Images - responsible for the award winning Missoni Hotel in Edinburgh - will lead the fit-out programme, with work beginning in September.
The new store, which will boast a large feature window to entice customers inside, is expected to open towards the end of October in time for the Christmas shopping rush.
Kyron Keogh, managing director of ROX, said: “We have been looking for a great space in Edinburgh for quite some time now and we are really excited to be opening in the Assembly Rooms. Graven Images have come up with a cutting edge yet classic design that will offer a new customer shopping experience in the city.”
