The Wanted have proved they are true gentlemen after the band came to the rescue of a fan who fainted in front of them.

It seems the girl was so overcome with excitement at catching a peek of the five-piece - Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes – that she took a funny turn and passed out.

The poor thing then apparently bumped her head on a wall as she fell to the ground, which in turn caused a seizure.

Seeing the drama unfold, Nathan rushed out of the band’s bus and came to her aid – even though the boys were running late for their flight, The Sun reports.

The quick-thinking singer then put the young girl in the recovery position before Tom dialled 999 to get some medical assistance.

Speaking about the scary incident, Tom told the paper: “It was as we pulled up at the airport that one of our fans collapsed on the floor. Nath stayed by her side while I called 999.

“It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same.”

The boys were in Glasgow Airport returning from their stint at T in the Park, where they said they had an “amazing time”, performing a selection of their hits including All Time Low, Lightning and Chasing The Sun.

Other acts who entertained the crowds of around 85,000 daily included the Stone Roses, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Kasabian and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
