Usher’s stepson has been declared brain dead after being involved in a horror watercraft collision on Saturday.
Kyle Glover, the 11-year-old son of the R&B star’s estranged wife Tameka Foster, was involved in the crash on Saturday, while he was sitting in an inflatable raft on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, Georgia, which is believed to have been struck by a jet-ski.
The youngster was rushed to the Children's Healthcare unit at Egleston Hospital, suffering serious head injuries following the accident. Usher is believed to have chartered a plane for Tameka, who was out of town at the time of the accident, to be by her son’s side, where she has remained ever since.
However according to TMZ.com, Kyle has had no brain activity since being admitted to hospital and has now tragically been declared brain dead by medics.
No decision is thought to have been made as yet about whether to take Kyle off life support.
A 15-year-old girl was with Kyle when the inflatable raft was struck by the jet-ski, but her injuries are not thought to be serious.
After the accident at the weekend, Tameka took to her Facebook page to urge those around her for their support – and urged everyone to pray for Kyle.
She wrote: ''Kyle, You are strong ... You'll be saved I know it. I love you my baby. I need all #Prayers for my son! thanks you everybody! (sic)''
Usher and Tameka have two children together, four-year-old Usher V and three-year-old Naviyd. Kyle Glover is the biological son of Tameka's former husband Ryan Glover.
