They’ve charmed girls (and ladies) all over the world and it seems One Direction have the magic touch with the boys too, after a band who supported the group on their tour gave them guitars worth £20,000.
Soft-rock US group Boyce Avenue, who supported One Direction on their UK tour earlier this year, were so delighted to have performed alongside the five-piece that they wanted to show their appreciation with the pricey present.
The personalised guitars, with included specially engraved messages for Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinso, were a truly thoughtful gift and ensured none of the 1D lads would ever forget their time on tour together.
There was just one problem with the presents though – only Niall can actually play the instrument.
A source told The Sun: “The 1D boys were really grateful but it was a bit of a pointless present as only Niall can play guitar.
“Harry, Liam, Zayn and Louis are now desperately trying to learn because it was a really kind gift."
The source continued: “Boyce Avenue got each guitar engraved with a personal message so the boys would remember the tour. That’s definitely made the rest of 1D feel obliged to learn a few chords now.”
Meanwhile the boys have just wrapped up their Up All Night US tour with a gig in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
It’s been a hugely successful visit for 1D, who have celebrated top achievements including becoming the first UK group to reach the top of the charts with their debut album Up All Night.
