Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid still haven’t named their two-week-old baby girl, because they can’t agree on a title they “really love”.
The couple have so far been calling their baby girl, who was born on June 17, “mini-me” – and it looks like the moniker is here to stay for a while longer yet.
"We still haven't decided on a name for the baby," the star wrote in her column for new! magazine.
"It's terrible, I've had nine months and have gone through American names, Spanish names, English names. There's just nothing I really love.”
Chantelle added: "I liked the name Honour, like Jessica Alba's daughter, but then I went off it. Minnie was also a contender for a while, but it just isn't her."
And the 28-year-old certainly doesn’t seem much closer to finding the right name for her bundle of joy, admitting she is determined to hold out for the “perfect name”.
The baby girl is the first child for both Chantelle and Alex, who split briefly before the birth. But Chantelle insists that they are now closer than ever following their problems, telling last week’s issue of OK! magazine: “Alex and me have already put out issues behind us. It’s about our little girl now, nothing else matters.”
Chantelle announced the happy news that she was pregnant with Alex’s child last November. The couple had been considering undergoing IVF treatment after Chantelle had been warned she may be infertile after suffering from bulimia in her younger years.
