Prince William is a real life Prince Charming it seems, after it emerged the Duke loves to spoil his wife Duchess Kate with “romantic gestures”.
The couple married just over a year ago in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey, after dating for eight years following a university romance.
And in order to keep the spark alive between them, Prince William – also known as the Duke of Cambridge – likes to make a special effort to woo his lovely lady.
"William believes romance is important," a source told Us Weekly. "He's not cheesy but he does like to make romantic gestures."
Earlier this month school pupil Tigerlily Smith, eight, asked what it was like to be a real-life Princess.
“She [Kate] said she got to visit lots of countries but hadn’t seen as many as William," the youngster told the press, adding: “She said William was very sweet and kind and spoiled her.”
Sounds like Duchess Kate is one very lucky lady indeed!
The couple are often spotted together laughing and joking, looking loved up, and it’s clear the Royal pair take the necessary steps to make sure they appreciate one another.
Kate is believed to have gone to a great amount of effort to make her husband’s recent 30th birthday truly special and unforgettable, reportedly throwing him an intimate party with old school friends to mark the big occasion.
It must be extremely hard to source a present for the man who has everything, so Kate put a lot of thought into the gift she got her husband for the landmark birthday, opting for a high-octane adventure experience which saw Wills strapped to a rubber ring while being pulled along by a speedboat.
The experience is believed to have been right up adventurous William’s street – and it put a smile of the faces of Kate and some of the Prince’s best friends, who are said to have “roared with laughter” as they watched him bounce about on the rubber ring as he tried to cling on for dear life.
Kate is also said to have treated the Prince to breakfast in bed on the day of his birthday, June 21, as well as giving him a specially crafted timepiece and a beautiful painted portrait of herself.
For the Duchess’s 30th, the couple are also believed to have enjoyed an intimate dinner party with Kate’s family and close friends, with William thought to have bought cute cocker spaniel puppy Lupo for his beloved Kate.
The dog first came to stay with the Royal couple before Christmas, and Kate and Wills were instantly taken with him, with the mischievous pup becoming the Duchess’s pride and joy on her 30th birthday in January. She has regularly been seen taking Lupo for walks and attending the polo with him.
