Miley Cyrus’s spokesperson has appeared to deny stories that the singer and actress is to marry her fiancé Liam Hemsworth this weekend.

A spokesperson for Miley simply told Gossip Cop: "[I] haven't heard that [rumour]... [Liam will be ] back in LA for a night next week to receive an award from Australians in Film on the 27th.”

Earlier this month a source told celebrity gossip magazine Us Weekly: ''They are both mature and ready for this. Miley is 19 going on 40. Right now they are enjoying being engaged. There is no rush.''

Miley, 19, and Liam, 22, met and fell for each other while filming for the 2009 movie The Last Song. The couple dated before splitting for a short time in 2010 then reconciling.

Then in June this year Liam popped the question with a 3.5 carat ring from jewellers Neil Lane, and an excited Miley accepted.

Since then, the teen has regularly Tweeted about her joy at being engaged, writing messages on Twitter including “I love being a fiancée” and ''Will I ever quit staring at my finger?''
