Kate Middleton gave Prince William breakfast in bed treat for 30th birthday

The Duchess of Cambridge got her pinny on and served her husband Prince William a very special breakfast in bed on his 30th birthday yesterday morning.

As a fully-fledged Royal now, Kate could have any number of servants at her beck and call on hand to create a culinary feast for the big day.

But the Duchess decided the personal touch was best, and quickly got to work in the kitchen whipping up a real treat for her husband of just over one year, according to The Sun.

Kate’s known to be a dab hand in the kitchen, and reportedly made Wills a special dish of fish en papillote – fish cooked in parchment – for their first wedding anniversary in April.

And it seems she’s been continuing to work on her cooking skills, making sure her beloved hubby is well looked after with plenty of home-cooked meals.

According to the paper, Kate also presented William with a beautiful present - a specially made watch from Crown Jewellers Collins & Sons.

The timepiece will no doubt become one of William’s favourite presents this birthday – and as the future King, he’s sure to receive quite a few.

Friends and family will reportedly get the chance to lavish the Prince, who is also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, with birthday presents this weekend, when the couple are believed to be throwing an intimate dinner party to mark the 30th.

Spokespeople for St James's Palace have been tight-lipped about the exact plans for William's 30th as well as what gifts he received, but other rumoured presents are said to include a beautiful painting of Kate by artist Nicky Phillips.

Kate herself received a number of luxurious gifts from close pals, family and her new celebrity friends on her own 30th in January, including a stylish pair of £1,627 grey suede Christian Louboutin boots and a matching belt from Victoria Beckham, who attend Kate and William’s wedding with husband David last year.
