Winning hairstyles: Sharron Davies shows off an ‘Olympic’ inspired 'do

The Olympic Games are coming to London in just over a month’s time, with the final preparations being put in place for the event.

And while most people are focused on the sports side of the games, Wella hair salons have been selected to provide pop up salons at in London during the games, to make sure people’s grooming doesn’t take a back seat at this time. Looking good is always important, after all!

Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies has been travelling around the UK, sampling the services of the renowned hair experts, in anticipation of this summer’s games.

And in this video, the sportswoman sees her hair – which has been through mill after years of swimming training – transformed into a simple but stunning Olympic-inspired ‘winning look’.

Stylist Ashley explained a bit more about the tumble turn style she created. “The tumble turn was inspired by Sharron’s hair as an Olympic swimmer,” the hairdresser explained.

“We’ve taken the tumble turn from using the water to make the waves, to give a look that can be used on anybody’s hair.”

The style is achieved by using a barrel tong and loosely weaving the hair around to create pretty waves, which are then pinned up on the head.
