Justin Bieber proved his popularity really is global, as the star jetted into Mexico, where he performed a free concert for 300,000 fans last night.

The singer has been making his way around the world as he films the All Around the World TV special, which sees him stop off in seven different countries.

During all the visits, the teen wonder has been performing free concerts for residents, something which has seen crowds turn out en masse, hoping for a glimpse of the Boyfriend singer.

And the fans in Mexico were clearly a little bit excited to see Biebs, as he took to the stage at the country's Zocalo Plaza, arriving in an entourage of four SUVs which were escorted by a series of police officers on motorbikes.

He certainly seems to have had a blast at the gig, taking to Twitter afterwards to write: “Everything about tonight was special. It is everything we stand for. A lot of emotions but it was worth it. 300,000 people. Te Amo MEXICO.”

But while Biebs might be adored by millions of girls around the world, who follow his every move, the 18-year-old revealed that there are no music artists he feels quite so passionate about himself.

Speaking during a press conference at his hotel yesterday, the teen told the assembled press: “There is no one I admire so much to do something crazy, but if Michael Jackson were here, I would do it for him.

“So, I do understand the emotion that the girls feel and that makes me feel very honoured.”

Justin’s promotional around-the-world tour has seen him jet all over the place, visiting countries including Norway and France, wit the Canadian teen ending the tour with a special gig in New York City, USA.

The TV special is expected to air on NBC on June 21. The show promises “unprecedented access” to Justin’s every move during the tour, giving viewers and “access pass to his life”. Should be an interesting watch!
