Kate Middleton is one stylish lady, and the Duchess of Cambridge won the thumbs-up once again, after wearing a series of striking outfits during the Diamond Jubilee weekend.

The 30-year-old kicked off her appearances at the central weekend festivities on Sunday at the Diamond Jubilee Thames River Pageant, dressed in a scarlet red dress by Alexander McQueen.

Catching the eye of bystanders, Kate’s gown certainly made an impression and perfectly complemented her brunette locks and lightly tanned skin.

The dress is bang-on-trend, having previously been worn by stars including Kim Kardashian and Tulisa Contostavlos – but the long-sleeved version Kate chose, which she teamed up with nude shoes and a red hat, was a little more demure and elegant.

Some felt the Duchess should have chosen a less striking colour, in case she diverted the attention away from Her Majesty The Queen, who chose white for the river pageant. Others believed the colour was perfect as it allowed Kate to be seen from Oafar by the crowds of thousands.

One thing everyone could agree on was that the Duchess looked simply stunning.

The next day Kate accompanied the Royal Family once again when she attended the Diamond Jubilee Concert outside Buckingham Palace, which saw stars including Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Jessie J take to the stage.

This time Kate chose a high street dress for the occasion, opting for the Bella dress from Whistles, which costs £150. Kate is very good at mixing high street options with designer pieces, and proved this once again by adding a navy Alexander McQueen blazer to the dress.

On the final day of the Diamond Jubilee central weekend celebrations, the Duchess once again opted for Alexander McQueen, this time choosing an elegant nude coloured lace dress with an oyster sash, matched with a Jane Taylor hat and her trusty nude shoes.

The demure knee-length long-sleeved dress was quiet but eye-catching, and was absolutely perfect for the Diamond Jubilee ceremonial day, which included a Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral, a lunch at Westminster, and an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Kate is a massive fan of Alexander McQueen, and even chose a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown for her wedding to Prince William last April.
