Kate Middleton is widely regarded as the ‘queen of style’ but the pressure is on more than ever for the Duchess of Cambridge to wow the crowds this weekend, as she takes pride of place alongside Her Majesty during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Kate, 30, and her husband Prince William, 29, are playing very important roles during the central Jubilee weekend (June 2-5), and are heavily involved in Queen Elizabeth’s various engagements, alongside just four other key members of the Royal Family.

And with the eyes of the nation on the stunning brunette, almost as much as they will be on the Queen herself, the Duchess will no doubt be keen to make sure her look is spot-on.

Kate has repeatedly impressed with her stylish choices, carefully blending a mixture of high street and designer pieces, to give her a groomed, manicured look that has left ladies around the globe in awe.

The Queen is also said to be a fan of the fact that Kate isn’t afraid to recycle her outfits, with a Royal historian Roy Strong claiming the monarch has praised the Duchess for her decision not to “spend, spend spend”.

But surely for this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, Kate – officially known as Catherine now – will be forgiven for splashing out on some stunning pieces for the historic event. We can’t wait to see what she’s got in store!

Also facing a wardrobe dilemma is Kate’s husband of just over one year, Prince William, 29, and his little brother Prince Harry, 27.

For their day jobs, William is a search and rescue pilot for the RAF, while Harry is an Apache pilot – but the pressure will be on for the boys to dress in naval attire for the Diamond Jubilee Pageant, the Telegraph reports.

Harry is Commodore-in-Chief of Small Ships and Diving, while William is Commodore-in-Chief, Scotland, and Commodore-in-Chief, Submarines, with both princes being appointed the naval positions six years ago in a move by The Queen and First Sea Lord to strengthen links between the Royal Navy and the Royal Family.

Prince Harry has also taken a diving course at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, and completed dives in Cyprus and Plymouth during his officer training.

A spokesperson for St James’s Palace confirmed to the paper that both princes will be dressed in military uniform, but wouldn’t confirm details of the type. We'll just need to keep our eyes peeled for a peek on the day!

The Diamond Jubilee Pageant this Sunday (June 3) is set to be one of the most breathtaking events during the celebrations. It will see more than 1,000 boats making their way down the Thames, with the main Royal party for the weekend – The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry - all travelling on the Royal barge, the Spirit of Chartwell.

The party will embark at around 2.30pm, before coming alongside alongside HMS President (Royal Naval Reserve Unit), near Tower Bridge.

Other members of the Royal Family will travel on various other vessels alongside the Royal barge, and the Duchess of Cambridge’s parents and siblings have even been given the prestigious invitation to sail on the Elizabethan, a replica 1890s Mississippi paddle steamer.

It’s a huge honour for the family, as boats travelling in the Royal Squadron are solely reserved for special guests of the Queen.
