The world’s most glamorous women (and men) descended on London last night for the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards 2012.
Amongst the inspirational stars at the event, one lady stood out as she glittered in gold – step forward Kylie Minogue.
The stunning singer turned heads as she took to the stage to accept the Outstanding Contribution gong, presented to her by good friend Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters.
Fresh from celebrating her 44th birthday on Monday, it’s hard to believe this much loved star has been part of the music industry for 25 years. We want to know her secret!
She not only looked beautiful, Kylie delivered one of the most heartfelt speeches of the night, making us proud to be a woman.
She said: "I don't know how I ended up here when I started out in dungarees (in Neighbours) pretending I could fix a car.
"I nearly blew up my first car as I didn't realise it had water and oil and all that stuff."
She went on to describe how her life has changed and said she "hoped to become a better woman. Like my grandma. She's really my icon. I'd like to dedicate this to my grandma and mother". She also gave a nod to younger sister Dannii Minogue.
It was a magical moment in the evening.
Jessie J, dressed in a beautiful black gown, won Best Solo Artist and said: "I'm loving that last year I was a girl and this year I'm a woman. I've got my bum out more."
Flying the flag for the US was Glee star Lea Michele, who won Best US TV Actress. She praised the high school musical series as it "shows kids what true beauty is, and to be comfortable in your own skin,” before thanking her mum, who accompanied her to the event.
You can watch many of the acceptance speeches (and marvel / look on in horror at the frocks) in the video player above.
